Book are usually a hit or miss on my Goodwill trips, but I found this great 1977 publication of amazing photos from all over the state.

Love these! Someone had donated an entire basket from Germany, Mexico, Holland and the islands. Between my mom & I we bought almost all of them.

I was finally able to get back home for a few days last week, which of course meant lots of thrifting. I'm always surprised that the finds tend to be better in north Georgia than in Savannah. I picked up this vintage silk jacket, s few vintage dolls and a  great vase circa 1950s- I'll post those shortly.

I found this bright and cheery Adolfo for Neiman Marcus blazer at the Wilmington Island Goodwill. Perfect paired with black pants or dark denim. 

Of course, both of these pieces required minor surgery to remove those pesky shoulder pads.

Love, love, love this vintage Sylvia Ann dress that I found at the Wilmington Island Goodwill. I'm guessing circa 1960s. 

Make a statement

I'm loving the colors this season and these statement necklaces. I picked up the green necklace at an expo show last month & snatched the coral necklace at a little boutique on River Street. 

Block party perfect

I found this amazing shift dress at Sallie Mood Goodwill a few weeks ago. Perfect if I ever have to go to a 1960s block party. I'm thinking it's homemade, but it's quality work. 

Break Time

Another unintentional break! Work keeps me very busy these days, but I have managed to do a little thrifting the past couple of weeks, a little taste above! More to come this week.

St. Patrick's Day 2013

It's no secret that St. Patrick's Day is a bit of a big deal here in Savannah. This year the green blazer stayed in the closet & I donned a Savannah Morning News Spotted shirt, shot some video & took over 600 photos from our float! 

Mayor Edna Jackson & the Budweiser Clyldesdales stopped by the SMN float.

And I started the morning (quickly!) catching a bit of excitement- runaway horse!

Southern Women

I worked a bit at our booth this weekend at the Southern Women's Show held across the river at the Trade Center- it provided an excellent view. 

There were also lots of goodies for sale. I of course couldn't resist spending a little money- I needed a statement necklace in my life. 

Savannah Restaurant Week

This past Friday the boyfriend & I partook in Savannah Restaurant Week (also celebrating our 1 month) at 17 Hundred 90. Oh my goodness, the food was delicious! So much so that I didn't want to take the time to snap any photos- I couldn't wait to try my 3 courses, which were: 

-Savannah Style Caprese—Fried green tomatoes topped with pepper jack cheese, fresh basil and a balsamic vinaigrette reduction

-Chateaubriand Rouge— Chef carved slices of filet mignon topped with sauteed mushrooms and port wine reduction; served with horseradish mashed potatoes and seasoned asparagus

-Pecan Pie—Our signature pie with bourbon, molasses and Georgia pecans topped with bourbon glaze

The big three

Oh my goodness! It’s our third birthday & I almost forgot! I just happened to be looking through all of my old post while taking a (slight) break at work & noticed the date. Happy third birthday NSP!

I popped into Urban Outfitters this weekend & ran right into these fabulous little kitty flats. I couldn't resist them! 

Lucky 200

It's not exactly a New Year's post, but it is my 200th post for NSP- and I fancy this picture that I snapped outside of work this weekend, so enjoy!

 No time to catch any pictures of the NYE fireworks on River Street, but luckily 2013 started off pretty good. Cheers everyone!

Knowing my obsession with taxidermy & bones my cousin found this awesome deer skull for me last month. Now to find the wall space for it.
