The best accessory...

Cats, dogs, big, and small... I love them all. I yearn for a big mutt... Every time I go to Goodwill on Sallie Mood Drive I'm so tempted to stop at the Savannah Humane Society. They also have a thrift store on sight... Two birds with one stone?

Making his NSP debut is Mr. Rogers. He loves his newsboy hat...
He was milking it tonight. And if this makes me a cat lady then so be it. This just makes me smile :)

Je déteste français...

Mon examen français était terrible! But I love these French ladies. (I'm the one that's looking down FYI...) P.S.- I wish smoking (even though terribly bad for you) was this classy again...

Wind & rain- it was insane..

Last Friday was such a beautiful, cold, rainy day. It made me want to pull on my Hunter boots and go hunt for treasure like the Goonies- So I did- Sort of. I started to Goodwill, but my car kept driving straight- out to Tybee. I braved the elements for a quick walk on the beach. The rain was freezing, and the wind was crazy- but for some strange reason I found it... refreshing? I found the most amazing piece of drift wood. AND to top it off the cashier at Subway charged me way less than she should have & gave me 2 free cookies. It was a good day.

Vintage age therapy...

Such a relaxing Saturday. A day spent browsing countless antique stores in our wonderful city. There is nothing more relaxing and therapeutic to me than a day of hunting for treasures. The stores are always quiet, and no one bothers you; true peace. I didn't buy much today, a scottie dog pin at Universe Trading Company (the above photos are from there. They have a little of everything.) And  a dainty Staffordshire pin at a rummage sale. Just a couple more reasons I love Savannah...

A toast to sweaters!

I hope that gentleman is toasting to his glorious sweater! I love a big chunky sweater. Cardigan, or pullover I don't discriminate. The one on the left was purchased at a flea market for under $10.00. Pair it with a white oxford and flats, and I feel like I should be sharing a beer with the gentleman above (or at the very least sitting next to a roaring fire smoking a pipe). The other was a Goodwill find. Hand made in Bolivia, 100% alpaca, and 100% itchy. But a bargain at $3.49. Now if only it would stay a bit colder in Savannah, and our apartment had functioning fireplaces...

Hello lover!

I was feeling a bit blue this afternoon because I (more than likely) failed my French test this morning, but that's a post for another time. The past few weeks I've had an underlying mission: Vintage leather jacket. I've been searching the Goodwill racks & shopgoodwill.com to no avail. Today I decided to zip over to the Goodwill on Johnny Mercer Blvd, and upon entering what's the first thing I find? A circa 1970's Jean Pierre leather jacket. It's a dark burgundy with some slight wear around the shoulder seams, but that just makes me love it that even more. I found one on Ebay that's almost identical (mine doesn't have buckles on the side)
