Treasures from the north

I was finally able to get back home for a few days last week, which of course meant lots of thrifting. I'm always surprised that the finds tend to be better in north Georgia than in Savannah. I picked up this vintage silk jacket, s few vintage dolls and a  great vase circa 1950s- I'll post those shortly.

A few of the things Santa brought... A vintage street car liquor bottle & some shiny loafers. Santa knows me all too well. I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!

Eek! Anthropologie just sent me a shiny e-mail about their Sequin & Shine collection. I'll take one of everything please! 

Sequins & de la Renta oh my!

Shame on me for slacking off with the posts!

Last week I found this gorgeous vintage sequin dress & fab-u-lous vintage Oscar de la Renta  paisley jumpsuit (Not very photogenic, but amazing in person). Sadly neither one are my size, so they'll be going up on my Ebay site soon for some lucky person. Happy bidding!

Holiday Sparkle

I couldn't resist this beautiful fold over clutch from Banana Republic. It was screaming my name- Just a little Christmas gift for myself. 

Longing for Fall & things that glitter..

How amazing are these pants? Katie Holmes is donning a pair in the Fall J. Crew catalog along with the delicious Josh Duhamel. I'm waiting by the mailbox already..

And while we're on the topic of J. Crew I'll also take a pair of these fabulous brogues..

Distracted by shiny things...

I just picked up the February issue of Lucky Magazine and I find a page devoted to sequins! I adore anything that sparkles. To the left is a fabulous Oleg Cassni top found at a thrift store. It's in great shape, and would be perfect for a New Years soirée. Cassni designed Jackie O's iconic state wardrobe in the 1960's. The other is a Goodwill find. No stains and the beadwork is in great condition. And once again paired with dark jeans it's instantly chic.
