Treasures from the north

I was finally able to get back home for a few days last week, which of course meant lots of thrifting. I'm always surprised that the finds tend to be better in north Georgia than in Savannah. I picked up this vintage silk jacket, s few vintage dolls and a  great vase circa 1950s- I'll post those shortly.
Stay tuned!

Trail blazer

I found this bright and cheery Adolfo for Neiman Marcus blazer at the Wilmington Island Goodwill. Perfect paired with black pants or dark denim.

Of course, both of these pieces required minor surgery to remove those pesky shoulder pads.

Indian Chic

I picked up this vintage Navajo-ish blazer at Goodwill. The colors are much darker and richer in person. Fall please hurry!

Going green

There are only two places where a green jacket is acceptable: The Masters & Savannah's St. Patrick's Day. Only 11 days!

Do I add a pop with the leopard flats..
Or keep it classic with the vintage Etienne Aigner loafers?

Sir yes sir.

I picked this blazer up at the new Wright Square Antique Mall downtown. The appliqué is so beautiful, even more so in person. It was custom made in 1961 for a General's Daughter, quite possibly this fella

Leather & wool

I'm a sucker for elbow patches, so for $10 I couldn't pass up the cozy green wool blazer. I also snagged a vintage leather vest compliments of the Gap. Judging from the tag, I'd say it's circa 1980s.

Happy fall!

It's officially fall! Just a few of the pieces I can't wait to wear, alas we have a high of 87 today. I guess for now I'll have to settle for having fall fashion shows with the roommate in the apartment..

T-14 days...

It's only two weeks until the official first day of fall. Although here in Savannah it won't feel like it for another two months.. But that doesn't mean I'll be wasting time bringing out the tweed, Frye's, and the Hunter's for those random Savannah floods.
